'I literally wouldn’t be where I am now if it wasn't for my year as Education Officer. Deciding to stand for election was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made'.
'I learned skills during that year not available to other graduates elsewhere so soon after completing a degree and I have the Students’ Union and its staff to thank for that. Learning how to work with senior figures in the University, sitting on the highest level committees, learning how to effectively project manage systems and structures, being jointly responsible for the finances of one of the largest charities in Lancashire (the SU!) and actually making UCLan a better place to study'.
'I’m now a Membership Services Coordinator at Edge Hill Students’ Union managing Representation, Democracy, Campaigns, Community, Sports, Societies and customer service. I love my job and know for a fact I wouldn’t be here now if it wasn't for the UCLan SU Elections.
