Voting
All students who have not opted to leave the union are entitled to vote. So that's pretty much all of you whether full time or part time, home or international, under or post grad. You all count.
Voting could not be easier. Go to www.uclansuelections.co.uk between noon on Monday 12th March and Wednesday 21st March. Enter the numbers from your student ID and your date of birth and make your choice. Anybody who asks for this information to cast a vote on your behalf is breaking the rules and should be reported to suelections@uclan.ac.uk.
We operate a single transferable vote system which basically means that you can rank the candidates in order of preference. Any candidate who gets over half the vote is in, otherwise the person with the lowest votes has their votes transferred. So if your candidate was lowest your vote would go to the person that you had chosen second. This process continues until someone has half of the votes.
If you are not happy with the choice of people on offer then we give you the opportunity to have the election again (Re-open nominations).
So remember www.uclansuelections.co.uk, Monday 12th March - Wednesday 21st March.
