Horse Riding

Hi, we are the UCLAN Equestrian Club and we ride every Wednesday rain or shine at Chorley Equestrian Centre. We currently have two teams at Preston in the BUSA league who compete in up to four competitions each year for the university. There are four members in each team plus the reserves.

Throughout the year there are various social events, such as pub crawls around Preston organised by our social secretaries and trips to equestrian events around the country.

The club caters for all levels from complete beginner up to the more advanced rider with around seven riders per lesson. We have a meeting every Monday night to organise the weekly lesson which is on a Wednesday  afternoon.

On the Wednesday we meet outside the students union to sign the travel sheet and get the minibus up to the yard. Each lesson lasts for one hour and we usually have four lessons running throughout the day. One at 1pm, one at 2pm and the last lesson at 3pm.

There are a large variety of horses available to ride at the centre and we can guarantee that whatever level you are currently at you will learn lots and enjoy yourself!

We are a very friendly bunch who want you in our club so contact us if you want to join! Why not join our Facebook group too. It will keep you up to date on all our events and has load of photos too.
