  • Make sure you eat, sleep and drink lots (non alcoholic!). The majority of illness will be due to a lack of one of these.

     

  • Make sure you have a GP in Preston. Sign up at Marsh Health Centre if you haven’t already done so. Here you can get travel vaccines, family planning advice and general check- ups. Click here for more details.

     

  • The university offer a free counselling service in Marsh Building where you can book sessions. Click here for more details.

     

  • Don’t get caught in the moment! Use a condom (available for free from SU reception, Marsh Health Centre and Welfare Officer Danny Weir in SU105) to ensure there are no unwanted repercussions following sex.

     

  • You can get STI check- ups at Marsh Health Centre and Preston Royal Hospitals’ G.U.M. clinic. All services are 100% confidential. For times click here

     

  • C-Wize also visit the SU once a month to offer free chlamydia testing. More info can be found here Dates for next year are: Thursday January 31st, Thursday March 6th, Tuesday April 8th and Thursday May 8th.
