Candidates from Labour, Conservatives, Liberal Democrats, Greens, UKIP and Justice all answered questions at the event in Harrington Lecture Theatre.
Former Union campaigns officer, Lee Bradshaw, was pleased with the turnout for the event and that UCLan had managed to attract the candidates.
He said: "'It was a great event and nice to see the candidates making the effort to come to UCLan.
"The audience really got into it and it was interesting to see the difference in views from the parties. It was also brillient that we got to video the candidates and so students who couldn't attend will be able to watch their views and make their minds up on who to vote for in the up coming election."
Students who want to vote will need to register before Monday 19th May 2009. If you want to vote or to find out more information about the elections visit About My Vote.
The event forms part of the Union's voter registration campaign.
