The Intro Text Service offered by the University of Central Lancashire Students' Union gives students the chance to opt in, by texting INTRO to 87474 for free and receiving text messages during the first few weeks of term about upcoming events, special offers and keeping them in the know during the Intro period.

 

Anyone opting in to the Intro SMS Service gives permission for the University of Central Lancashire Students’ Union to send SMS messages during the Intro period about upcoming events, special offers and other important information to the mobile number opted in with

 

That opting into the University of Central Lancashire Students’ Union Intro SMS Service will be free.

 

Any text messages received by the user from the University of Central Lancashire Students’ Union Intro SMS Service will be free.

 

Some SMS messages sent via the University of Central Lancashire Students’ Union Intro SMS Service may require a reply to activate a special offer. Any replies to these messages will be charged at the user’s standard network rate.

 

The user can opt out anytime of the University of Central Lancashire Students’ Union Intro SMS Service by texting STOP to 87474

 

At the end of the Intro service period, users who haven’t opted out will have the opportunity to continue receiving selected messages from the University of Central Lancashire Students’ Union.
