Trustees

As a registered charity the Union has a Board of Trustees to oversee the key decisions relating to the future of the union. The Board of Trustees sets the direction of the organisation and ensure that the union is working for the benefit of our members and he Union abides by charity law. The role of the Board is set out in the Articles of Government of the Union.

The Union's Board of Trustees is made up of five directly elected student officers (the Student Affairs Committee), two appointed student trustees and three appointed external trustees. Our External Trustees are Alex Bone, Jane Riley and Antony Weller.  The Board delegates the day to day running of the Union to the staff team led by Chief Executive Officer, Pete Shilton Godwin.

The opportunity to become a Trustee of the UCLan Students’ Union is an exciting opportunity to use your skills, knowledge and experience to make a positive difference to the lives of students at the University, in the City of Preston and beyond.
